Hi Otoy
We are using scattering medium in the daylight to make fog/smoke
we did test and it takes 300,000 Max samples to get rid of all noise. Image attached is 20 000 samples That is crazy especially for animations. Any plans in a future release to solve this problem. I still feel that volume lights where you add a sphere over the whole scene and a camera is not good solution making it slow and noisy
By the way firetruck lights do not cast light we added octane plain simple lights on top with 4000 samples per light So it is not lights' problem. Why do CPU renderers render volume lights at about the same speed but noise free.
thanks

Hi coilbook,
With DL-AO is better to use geometry with specular material and medium instead of medium in Daylight.
