I've been working on some very heavy scenes, with lots of particles, vegetation and volumes, very large scenes... they tend to cause full RED light (all failed) GPU failures randomly. When all GPU's fail, the only way to get the render is to save a render state, restart and continue.
It would be nice if octane did that automatically so I don't have to "baby sit" the render all night long, sometimes all week long.
It would work like this:
1-Octane detects an (all failed) event.
2-Octane saves a temp scene and a temp renderstate
3-Octane restarts
4-Octane loads renderstate
I think this would be pretty easy to implement.?
One bonus track would be that octane would recover its assigned slaves, because probably they will be stolen by another master.
Thanks
Kind regards
