Before posting a bug report, please check the following:
1. That the issue has not already been disclosed
2. That the issue is specific to this plugin, and not Octane in general (Try reproducing it in Standalone)
Bugs related to the Octane Engine itself should be posted into the Standalone Support sub-forum.


All bug reports should include the information below, along with a detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it.
A. Operating System, including version (i.e. Win 7, OSX 10.11.2, Ubuntu 14.04, etc.)
B. Graphics Card(s) model (i.e. GTX 580 - 3GB, TITAN, etc.)
C. RAM Capacity (i.e. 6 GB)
D. Nvidia driver version (i.e. 7.50, 7.5.22)
E. OctaneRender Standalone version, if installed (i.e. 2.24.2, 2.23, etc.)
F. OctaneRender plugin version (i.e. v2.25 - 2.21)
G. Host application version, including build number if available (i.e. 3ds Max 2016 Build 18.0)
H. A detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce it (Include Screenshots or video capture), as well as an example scene if applicable.
I. Copies of the Octane Log window and Console window outputs (full text attached as a file to your post is recommended).


Please note that reports of issues inside existing threads will be ignored/removed, and reports may be closed if the reporter does not respond to subsequent queries in the thread.

There seem to be a bug when i use either C4D's deformer on X-Particle generated splines... which also store a color for each, without deformer the trails render the colors fine in Octane, but when I use also deformer on those splines, the colors dont render out using Octane, is that known issue?

It is known problem. Not a thing about us/octane.

I am not sure what you mean but i have post a bug request to Insydium and they reply to me that it is not problem with X-particles but I should post a bug request to otoy, so here Am I... What to do?

There should be a conflict with them. I'm pretty sure that's a xp problem. Color data lost when a deformer applied. There are not any other method to read in their SDK. They may have a newer one but forgot to update us. I will talk to xp peeps if they deny this.
Can you try your scene with another renderer?

I have tried to render this in Cycles 4D and it works fine, have you contact them already?

And they reply to me it is probably problem on your side and that your devs can eassily reach them out if you willing to... Because this feature is working also in Redshift.

But I feel, this won't change in near future :(

What is the reason of this feeling?
I'm using the sdk which is provided by them and it's giving black colors in this case. Tell me how this can be a bug on my side? I'm not generating colors from my stuff
