It's like a bug on your system, not on software. Test your temperatures and GPUs/PSU.

the computer gpu/cpu temp is fine , i'm running on water, gpus and cpu are always at 50° Celsius even at peak with overclock. tried cpu and gpu stress test and it passed. i have tried with cpu and gpu at stock speed too, and its still shutting down. its just ticking of the adaptive sampling and running either picture viewer or ipr, it shuts down the pc in less than 2 seconds. if i render without adaptive sampling its fine.
could it be windows issue? i really don't want to go down the route of reinstalling windows lol.

Shutting down the any system is not possible by a software. You may have defects on your GPUs.

Hi,

Indeed, what aoktar said.

Computer crash/shutdown ("BSOD") is "often" ((implying, when not due to a virus/hack) hardware related. Octane is likely triggering it because it is highly using the GPU for computational purposes.

open your nvidia driver settings and enable to debug mode from the top menu, then try again. Report back if this helps.
