Hi Ahmet,
you added a neat feature with objectcolors. Can you shortly explain how does it works?

Can you provide some example scene for second problem(transmission thing)?
For last, are you talking about scenes are created with older versions?
Thanks for your reply, Ahmet!
I'll be checking again in SA topic if I find any clued about these differences in reflections, while I'm attaching here a sample scene with grass to see what I mean about transmission. I attach even a couple of screenshots, so will be more clear.
Regarding last question, yes, I was meaning what it happens opening scenes made with 2020. Texture color space not always is linear sRGB, and I double checked and changed where I saw that results were different than before...
Thanks again for your work!
Cheers

I hope this image explains it well

Thanks Ahmet for your work, as always.
I updated to 2021.1 R2 from 2020.1.5 and I've some question for you.
I noticed that reflections (mostly on metals) are less sharp and in some cases disappear.
Is there anything I should set?
Then, I set several materials for grass, leaves, etc. that have just a plane with an universal material taht has albedo and transmission (unfortunately it was the only way to have translucency and glossiness, avoiding to create a lot of mix materials and it worked fine with 2020. Now, with 2021, back side turn out white. ANy suggestion?
Lastly, in my saved material textures are in different color space, sometime in Linear sRGB+leagcy gamma, sometime in Non-color data and I've to check everytime, since it's a new feature. What I should do?
Sorry for several questions, but I'd like to switch to this version even for production, but I'd need to be sure about how much work I've to do for fixing these issues.
Thanks again and have a ncie evening.
aoktar wrote:@Kalua, it's weird because when a new parameter added it uses a default value. And default value is constant. I cannot see this issue on tests with several old scenes. Could you please provide me some example scenes?
Kalua wrote:For the colorspace issue: I already reported this somewhere here in the forum, some textures from files older than 2021.1 get set to "Non-color data" and causes wrong gamma display. My work around to quickly fix this is to use the "Octane Texture Manager", select all items and reset the Color space to "Linear sRGB + legacy gamma"
