Hey guys ,
I m having very similar issues, Octane 2018.1.1 R2 crashes Cinema 4d R20.57 I have atempted reinstalling R20.29 its the same . But I m still facing the same issues. I tried removing the plugins too. Though ver4.04 is quite stable for now . I m kind of in middle of a project. I would really like to use the 2018.1.1 render speed. Ver 4.04 seems pretty slow on my Rtx2080ti .
Octane 2018..1.1 crashes while attempting to create materials especially used in earlier projects. I have been facing this for while I thought it was hardware error (Cuda error 700) which I resolved. But Octane 2018.1.1 continues to crash . I believed in Octane and upgraded to Enterprise version. Attaching the Bug Report File. I hope ill be able to enjoy Octane 2018.1.1 without wasting much of my license days. ;)

Hello,

I’m also having the same texture crashing problem with newest 2018.1. I reverted back to 2018.1R3 and it stopped.

I’m using an RTX 2080ti. Windows 10. r19. can send you more info soon.

Thx

Hi all: thanks for all the reports. There is currently a crash in the core, easily triggered from plugins, especially when any material preview is happening.

We are working to bring out a 2018.1.2 as soon as possible, please bear with us.

After several tests of the plugins the 4.04 does not present problems, but if it persists with the 2018.1.1 version it seems that it may be something related to the material previsualization. Thx aoktar for great support.
