Maybe the resulting PSD exceeds 2 GB?
Try using the PSB Format.
Had similar problem last time.

A short question - I am verry interested in replacing particles by geometries.
It is possible by importing a particle alembic file to replace the particles by geometries?
By importing a particles alembic file the Octane object Tag identifie the alembic fila as particles but replacing the particles by geometries are not possible, see the file below.
If I use X-Particles or TP than it works.

Trying out 3.07 Test 6a on R19.024 Windows
when I start cinema and turn on octane, it asks me for my license.
"could not find required license"
only options are retry, sign in as different user and cancel
when I try the sign in as different user. Cinema crashes.

Hi adamfilip,
please, open Standalone in the active machine, and press the Sign-out button in File/Account. In this way, all the active licenses will be deactivated at once.
Then try again to activate R19 c4doctane.

Its not possible atm but I'll try to implement this with octane tag or some other way. Maybe with scatter or object tag but i need to investigate before deciding which is proper.

Btw there's an alternative way with scatter object. But you should import abc particles as geometry. Later select is as distribution source in vertex mode of scatter. But I'll look to use them as particle source also.

@aoktar, thank you very much for your reply.
I know your proposed way over scattering but if I use 1 Mio. particles or more (granulate, foam etc.) than the converting process is very time consumable especially in the case of an animation.
I think the way over particles alembic files is very elegant because you get so direct connectivity to Houdini, Realflow or other FX software without need directly access to the native software. It would be great if that could work

Hey so just curious. Seems like we've been on this test6 release for a while. Is there a final version on the horizon? Jules said on FB that 3.08 was coming out super fast behind 3.07, so just wondering if that's still the expected release trajectory.

I'll make a test7 release and we're working on 3.08 too at same time. It's a big release with a lot of addons too.
