I got this reply from Tyson Ibele (tyFlow):
Either way, any requests need to be made to the Octane devs directly...they have my interface (same one used by VRay/RS/Corona/etc)...I don't have control over their actual implementation of it.
I'll try to explain in more detail what the problem is.
1)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/scl/f ... 5n5c5&dl=0Octane render of tyFlow as instances. Vram used is 1315 Mb. Everything works except Mapping. Scene evaluation time: 1 sec.
2)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/scl/f ... 2u78t&dl=0Mapping works if I disable the "Incl. legasy interface". But Vram used is 3114 Mb. This means that it is no longer an instance, but just a single mesh. Scene evaluation time: 10 sec.
3)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/scl/f ... 06w24&dl=0Render of TyCache. I can't even get a result like the first option. Renders only as meshes, not as instances.
4)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/scl/f ... hy8oi&dl=0V-ray work fine both in tyFlow and tyCache. Fast, with mapping and instances. Maybe we need some button like "Enable Vray interface" but for Octane instances?
What I want to end up with: render many partiсals as instances using high-res models in Shape with working mapping.
