Hi, using this version and the Triplanar projection has no nodes to connect to. you can add it but there are nothing in the tab. it's blank
using 2018.
is there an issue here?
also there are a lot of issues regarding the daylight light. you need to turn it on/off for it to appear. speccially if you have a texture environment (hdri) and you go back and forth between them.
is there a timeframe of the update? i've seen that that have been quite some time since the last one

cheers

Martin

Hi MartinBoom,
Could you share some screenshots or a video showcasing your workflow that reproduces the issue you're reporting?

I don't think I understood, did you export 2 VDBs (one from PhoenixFD and one from Embergeen) and import them into 3dsMax?
Regards
Paride

Hi Paride,

The top image is phoenix simulation with octane volume modifier added. The bottom is embergen vdb. It seems that phoenix never looks smooth and always looks pixelated.

Hi coilbook,
Could you share your PhoenixFD simulation?
Regard
Paride

Hi Paride,

Here it is. Phoenix is always looking blocky even from faraway while embergen smooths the blocks. Thanks

Everytime when I open the Octanerender viewport a message says the Octane viewport session is still active...
And I didn't start the viewport before, maybe a bug or some error ?

Add a picture like reference.

1. Why does octane divide screen into 4 during rendering? And one quarter is always slow to render

2. Why does AI light work well with octane lights but not with VDB lights(fire) or mesh emitters?
