Render Contrast and Color Accuracy

Howdy!

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to get the file saved by (Octane-plugin) to look like the preview window. So far everything I've tried gives me a washed out lower contrast product in the output file.

Is there a proper way to approach this?

Still loving Carrara with the Octane plugin!

There shouldn't be a difference - what format are you using to save the file? It sounds like it could be a gamma issue, but this shouldn't really be an issue with saved files.

Having the same problem with 3ds Max - its not a gamma issue, the difference is too subtle but still noticable; the saved frame is missing a bit of contrast and color dynamic.

This issue may have had something to do with a display upgrade.

When I reconnected a display that was previously connected when I installed Octane, the problem went away and I haven't been able to reproduce it.

I suspect the OctaneRender view port and the file saving API's may have been using different color profiles.

This issue might be a color profile hanging around after the display device is changed.

Have you changed your display hardware?

I reconnected my original display device and the problem went away.
