Troublesome Scenes And Solutions - Hopefully

Having not touched anything Art related in near 6 months, I do not know if the bug has bitten me again, or if I am just bored.

Other than re-rendering my older work in Octane, I thought about some of the native Carrara scenes and how some give us issues, while others are fine. I then got to thinking well, they don't have to be troublesome scenes. There is a thread about some of Howie's scenes and what to do to get them to render, but then I thought what about all the other scenes.

Mmior - MysticGorge - Much like Howies scenes the replicated tree's are the issue, as well as some missing shader's

PhilW's - English Village (works fine, but was on the list to test)

Howies - Darkwald - Forest Drive - Country Lane etc etc

3D Lust - Radius, Sirius Labs

the list can and does go on.

If you use any native scenes and have found work around's or solutions could you post them here, so that the rest could use them?

I have started by looking at Darkwald, but my knowledge in general is pretty sparse, but it look's like some of the shader's are the issue, as well as not being able to get the mist or background to show.

I did see the sighman is trying to get a new version out that has some updates to how shader's are used, but due to Daz's lack of keeping documentation and Carrara itself up to date he has hit a few snags.

Just a random idea I had.

Hi!

here some scenes that worked fine with me:

PhilW - Carrara Fantasy Village

CPM Modular Urban Triplex

DAZ - Beyond the Sea

joelegecko - Tin Pan Alley

Richard Szydelko - Venice

The most Studio/Poser scenes.

Most Daz/Poser scenes work fine, some need a little tweaking, what I am trying to do is get native Carrara scenes working, was hoping to get a sort of one stop shop for fixes so others can use Octane on them :)

I attempted an old howie scene I had, Carrara ate 14GB of ram, Windows had a fit, nvidia driver crashed, and I had to reboot to get it all working again - after that I didnt test much
