Old program????

How can I use the 'old program' (1.2) when in the first place my school has us using 3ds Max 2015, not 2013. It is unfair to students to not let us get a current, or rather an up to date version we can use with the software we are using in school. Plus I get .dll's missing everytime I try to start it.

We'll be updating our offering students after 3.0 is released.

I'd rather we get student discounts on current versions of the software. Getting an upgrade from v1.20a to v1.5 doesn't really seem like it's remotely worth the wait when you have v3 coming out. Considering how powerful v3 is and what your average design school has for hardware that can handle GPU rendering, students should really get the latest version of v2. Seems like we get the raw end of the deal and in another few months it'll be outdated when 3DS Max 2017 comes out. The demo versions are pretty useless for us.

If students were able to get the full version of the bundle half-off (i.e. at USD$256.11 instead of USD$512.22 before tax) or if educators could have more affordable license packages for a classroom full of students, it'd be much easier and Otoy would get its money. Instead, we won't even be able to get the bundle without not only being nailed with the full price but an additional forced upgrade fee to v3 as well. Never mind that there's still no release date for v3 so as far as we know it could continue getting delayed until later this year.

So yeah... not exactly looking forward to this new student license upgrade.
