- new multi picker, right click with material picker to select materials hidden behind others
- new zoom picker, use it to move towards/focus on an object

- built in support for rendering turntable animations
- built in support for rendering daycycle animations
- command line automation flags for batch animation rendering, and passing camera placement and OBJ relinking
- can choose which gpu to use by default as command line flag (-g x)

- fixed issue with diffuse transmission being connected by default on diffuse materials giving incorrect shading
- render hour timer issue is fixed.
- loading of files with non minor case .obj is fixed
- 16bpp grayscale images and 32bpp HDR grayscale images are now working on all platforms
- CMD+Q quits the application on Mac OS X
- Mac OS X version does'nt crash on exit anymore
- OBJ material import adds scale parameter
- nodes can be renamed correctly now
- Mac OS X does'nt need specific order of cuda package installation and the making of the symbolic link to the cuda runtime anymore.
- large nodes scroll more smooth/fast in node inspector
- fixed CMD+left click for multi material picking on mac OS X
- fixed incorrect camera raster horizontal position issue
- fixed issue when closing the application and not asking to save/cancel

yes, as animation saves images, it we were to allow it, people can use it to bypass saving of images...

btw, here's an overview of the new built-in animation panels,
and you can also render generic animations with the new command line arguments and we've got 3 scripts in development currently for blender, max and maya...

Thanks..Too bad I can't test it, but Im going to buy soon eitherway.
So whats the workflow for animating a camera in Maya for example?
Hope you support Softimage and Cinema4D in the future.

community members are currently building scripts,
you'll have to wait until they have finalized and documented them...
it's all brand new.

Hi Radiance!
I just started testing it but the new beta seems to have fixed many of the little problems we had on OSX, and even on low-end hardware like mine the overall UI response it's a little bit faster. CPU usage in idle state (=render paused) seems lower too. Can't say about render speed since statistics were broken in the previous beta (they're fine now).
Now I hope to hear some good news from nVidia to be able to play with the 9600GT too...

great work so far, thank you!

Too bad about multi-GPUs. Still takes too long to bake a pie on my two GTS-250s.
