Ready for Render .Obj files (use as instances)

Hi,

Is there a way to store obj material setup to place in Revit proxy in order to avoid setting the material up every time I add the instance?
Maybe using the stand alone to setup the materials for the object and exporting it ready for render?

Thanks,
Samer

Hi Samer.

You can "Save as Default" for a proxy material, then when you next use that OBJ file, it will use the saved default Octane material.

Thanks for the feedback Paul, but isn't there a way to setup the object in Octane stand alone and reuse it in the plugin ?

Cheers,
Samer

I tried this but didn't work.
When the proxy object is selected in Revit view port and I right click on the material's node, the "Save to default" option is grayed out. When no selection has been made in Revit and I use the material picker in the OctaneRender viewport, the option for "Save as default is active but choosing it will result in this error: " Cannot save nodes - node is not a material or the rendertarget."

Ps: I tried to share a screenshot but didn't know how to use this thing

What version of the plugin are you using pls?

That is not currently possible.
