Is there a way of finding out what materials this error message is referring to?
Not at the moment - but the next version will set the name of the Octane material to the Revit material name - which will help this situation immensely. Does that error pop everytime for that scene? If so - can you send me the scene pls and I will fix the error.

A pre-release of the next version is available at http://render.otoy.com/customerdownloads/plugins/OctaneRender_for_Revit_2014_1_53_1_7_Win64.exe and it should hopefully list the specific material causing issues.

1.53.1.7
- For materials, the Octane material node is now named to the Revit material name (relevant for cuda error checking and exporting scenes to Octane Standalone)
