Hi. Whether in Revit the Generating instance CSV Files as in ArchiCAD. Will there be a recognition of the textures for revit 2014. Will there be a possibility to bound proxy to RPC's family types and if it will not can we choose as many RPC as possible and assign on them proxy at once.

Hi

I'm not absolutely sure I understand your question.

You can select a family object and assign a proxy to it, and then setup the Octane materials. You can then save all materials for that object "as Default", so when you next use that proxy those Octane materials setups will be used.

Only OBJ files can be used as proxy's, so if you want to use a family object as a proxy, save it as OBJ first.

I hope that helps.

I have updated the installers at the top of this thread. Pls download and install for:

1.20.1.16
- If the Viewport is saved off the main screen (due to having 2 monitors), it will be returned to the main screen when you next open it.

Thx for reply, but I was interested in another question =)
1. I have a lot of RPC objects. There are objects different types.
I want to select some objects by specific parameters and then apply proxy to them at once.

2. I need the function to generate Instance CSV Files as it implemented in ArchiCAD, i.e. http://render.otoy.com/manuals/ArchiCAD/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/generatetransform1.png

1. I have a lot of RPC objects. There are objects different types.
I want to select some objects by specific parameters and then apply proxy to them at once.

At the moment you can assign a proxy to an RPC, and then Copy and Paste that RPC inside Revit and the proxy details will be copied to the new copy. Also, you can assign a proxy to an RPC, then click the "C" button in the plugin Setup Tab (to Copy), then select another RPC object and click "P" (to Paste the proxy info to the current RPC). At some point I will make it so that you can paste to all selected RPC objects.

2. I need the function to generate Instance CSV Files as it implemented in ArchiCAD

Generating scatter files from Revit is not (yet) available. It will either be added to the plugin in the future, or you can potentially use the PhantomScatter plugin (which I think has not been released yet). So in summary, today you cannot do this in Revit, but you should be able to shortly.

I don't know if anyone has run into this problem. After installing the plugin, Revit 2013 does not even load fully. After the splashscreen dissapears and the recent projects screen shows up, Revit simply closes, and windows tries to find a solution, without giving me any error number I can reference here. After uninstalling the plugin Revit boots up without a problem.

I have not seen this happen before on the Revit plugin, but it will be the Octane DLL not loading due potentially to your CUDA drivers.

What OS, RAM, Nviia driver version, and Video Card(s) do you have pls?

Running Windows 8, 8GB ram, GeForce GTX 460m (mobile), Driver 320.57, CUDA 5.5.1.

Octane's latest version is happily humming along as im typing, rendering from sketchup.

Thanks Paul!

Everything sounds in order. The plugin is using the same renderer as the latest Octane Standalone version - so should work. Could I ask you to re-download the Revit plugin installer pls and re-install - to ensure the installer was not corrupted. Also, which version of the plugin are you trying (the TEST or STABLE version)?
