Hello.

From my experience and many tests in this area ( Solidworks files > modo) I can tell you somes.
Polytrans is a good soft and it does a great Job from .sldprt > .obj.
If you have soldiworks installed on your machine Polytrans connect to it and give more options for the conversion.
It works too if solidworks is not present but with fewer options. (no UV conversion, ... )
The problem for us was that the polygon data : only triangle and a complex meshe

But...

I tried MoI... and it's fabulous in the conversion ( convert using n-gones). V2 beta uses multi CPU for exporting meshes.
The result is cleaner (quad and n-gon).
Export you model from solidworks to .igs files and import it in MOI (a 30 days fully-demo is avaible) then export it in .obj.

So.. i don't use polytrans anymore.
