Impressive that it's all geometry :D

looking forward to seeing the final with bump/spec/normal

is the hair on the texture, or is it also geometry?

Done :)

@Kavorka
It's both, geometry is insanely complex and it's quite impressive to have that kind of detail without any bump/normal map. And also Octane does render this very fast!

Is this head available for download?
It looks awesome and I may need a head to put some headphones I am working on for a client.

If you guys are interested in working with this or other LightStage materials please let us know, and we'll see what we can do. As Ice pointed out..there is even more data per scan than what was used in that render (LightStage captures full BRDF per pixel+spectral normal+depth).

I would love to test out anything I can :)
I read up on OTOY's light stage, and i figured it wasn't using all of the data collected. Is it correct to assume that OTOY will be working with you to integrate everything captured with LightStage into Octane? Maybe even using Octane as their premier renderer to be used with LightStage?

Very cool stuff. I was apprehensive when OTOY purchased refractive software, but with everything they are doing/plan on doing, it looks like a very good partnership.

Octane will be the renderer of choice for LightStage data since we can work on both the capture and rendering endpoints to make sure it all works seamlessly. LightStage can also capture material data as well as objects. Some of this may end up on LiveDB.
