Cam to cam animation with different fov

Hi Paul,

I want to animate from one cam another cam with differ fov.
I.e. in archicad one camera has a fov of 75, and the other has a fov of 85.
But that does not work rendering with the plugin (rebuilding scene has no influence).
It keeps the fov of the first cam (or loaded cam).
Rendering animation in Archicad Photorendering Window it does go from one fov to a different fov.
It would be awsome if this would be possible in the plugin too

Cheers,

Hi Jeroen - I think you would need to do this as two animations (one for each camera) and join them together in post processing.

Hi Paul,
Same thought.. Haha
I have already tried that as solution, but that does not work really good
while you have to smooth with transparancy, and then the geometry still is not synchronized.. Looks shaky.
I solved it in another way a little bit better, by using still fov 85 scaled that it is almost like the fov 75,
And then fade if you get my explanation?
But if it is possible in Photorendering Window, should it then not be possible in plugin rendering?
I know it worked with sunsettings from one cam day to another nightcam ;)
Could I try same work method as with animated objects, close down plugin and rebuild scene...or has that no use?
Cheers, Jeroen

Hi Jeroen - the sun position is coming from AC each frame. However the fov is coming from the rendertarget - and only one rendertarget is used for a given animation sequence. Another option you could try is to export to OCS and load into Octane and use the flythru animation LUA script.

Aha, that explains.
Thanx for explaining Paul.
Good lesson.. Next time just use one fov for animation, or make sure that the transition is to be corrected easily in postproduction.

"View Rendertarget" grayed out

Hi,
did somebody have the same issue? I can´t set the "View Rendertarget" at the photoreal settings, because it´s grayed out. :(

View Rendertarget grayed out

I have different views with saved rendertargets. I get all settings to each view, what I have set to the different views. It means, I have more Rendertargets in the projects and the default rendertarget.
The "View Rendertarget" grayed out causes two problems:
1. I cannot save the photoreal settings to the view. Although I have the rendertarget to the view, I can´t set it to a Batchrender with Publisher.
2. An animation calls the settings from the "Photoreal settings". I don´t have any chance to change the rendertarget. I tried several times, it takes not the default settings but something else what I have used before.

What did I mistake? :? I could use it before, it was AC-16-german + Octane-2.0. Now it is AC-17/18-german (the plugin should be pasted under Add-ons/Visualisierung).

I checked and it works fine with me. I am working with 2.2.

If you open the plugin first - is it still greyed out?

That is it!
I got gray when opening without having opened plugin first.
Paul, you are the man, again!

I tried to add a warning msg if you haven't opened the plugin first - but AC would not have it. I will see if there is another way.
