Hi, after a bit of a longer time ... :)

I tried the "Spotlight" node in the "Distribution" of a "Diffuse Material" mesh (6 simple planes)
But when moving the mesh around (a lil bit up and down here, in this example), the "Spotlight" still stays at the same "place".
Is there a way, I can move the "Spotlight" along with the mesh?
I'm using 2021.1.3.114.
Thank you.

Hi

You could try an Emission->Distribution->Orientation that is not Surface Normal.

That means, I'll have to aim the spotlight with the "Direction or Target" digits?
I'll try that.
Thank you.

I have posted an Octane 2022.1 build of the plugin at https://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=80572. I am not anticipating any further Octane 2021.1 plugin builds, so that thread is now the active thread for new releases.

Thanks
