I've posted some quesions about the plugin 2023.1.1.306 in DAZ Studio 4.22.0.1.

1. It's not possible to download any materials from the Live DB in DAZ studio. The texture-slot is empty and the material is rendered in black.

2. I can't acess my materials-preset anymore. There not a single material in it and I've had some dozens... Is there a path to the presets and how can I get them back?

Most of this forum is user driven also there is a bug with the live database but the database is useless all shaders are outdated you get better results making your own

Had the same problem. The only solution right now is going back to version v2022.1.211. It's a bug in newer versions I reported a while ago.
Maybe it'll be fixed if ever the development of OcDS continues...

Had the same problem. The only solution right now is going back to version v2022.1.211. It's a bug in newer versions I reported a while ago.
Maybe it'll be fixed if ever the development of OcDS continues...

You do know every shader in the livedb is outdated and are really bad now compared to the new version of octane people should learn to make there own will help them in the long run.

Close down daz go into C:/users/*username*/OctaneRender/Data/ and delete OctaneRender_livedb2.oczdb go back into daz and in octane window press update under live db and turn off auto update.
And try and see if its updates and download the db again

Thank you - I did that before.
The LiveDB was updated but that didn't change anything:

- can't use LiveDB because of missing texture files.
- can't use my own materials - they seem to be gone.
- after a while in DAZ it's not possible to enter any data in the octane window. I can't change a name of a material or change any value manually.

And - at least - I'm very disappointed about the fact, there's still no support for strand-based hair after all these months.

Like i said the livedb is outdated and is missing a ton of textures its old has probably not been updated for many years
also if your OctaneRender_presets.oczdb has been delete all your own shaders are gone take backup sometimes of the file there also should be a backup file in same folder.
Also a good idea of having scenes with the same shaders or save as shaders in daz will also preserve the octane shaders.
Also the problem with daz and octane have never had sometimes daz UI bugs out and you cant write numbers in either daz or octane and that is a daz problem.
