"Use Combined Mesh" Question

Hello,

some time ago i stumbled upon a thread i cannot find anymore that mentioned how the option "use combined mesh" in DAZ influences the
mesh lights. So my question is, how does this option interact with the light options "surface brightness", "keep instance power" and "normalize"?

Thanks

If you combine the meshes, then the mesh lights emitted light is proportioned to the total number of polygons's in the mesh. "Surface Brightness" can be used to negate this effect. https://docs.otoy.com/StandaloneH_STA/StandaloneManual.htm#StandaloneSTA/Blackbody.htm?Highlight=surface%20brightness
