Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but since this is the version I'm currently using of the plugin I assumed this was appropriate.

Why is it after say setting up a scene to render at 800x1200 dimensions that when I change it to, say, 2000x3000 using the "Rendersettings" tab, the Viewport does not update to the new resolution. I have to select "Final" for the new resolution to take effect?

When keying in the "Width " dimension, the viewport does change to 2000 pixels wide, but key in the 3000 for the height, the viewport starts rendering again at the original resolution of 800x1200.

If I save the scene set to 2000x3000 and then reload it, the desired viewport resolution is corrected to 2000x3000.

Is there a setting I'm just not getting for this to happen dynamically without all the saving, loading etc.

Thanks for any direction.
Can you post a screenshot of your plugin Preferences page, and the resolution settings pls?

Thanks for providing the screenshots. Have you tried toggling the "Switch Render Size" button on the Viewport? It's the second last button on the right.

Yes, tried that Paul, and sometimes it works and most times it doesn't.

Could it be the plugin is scaling the viewable bitmap to a size that fits in the Viewport? If you save the image to png, is the resulting image 2000 pixels wide or 800?

Sorry, been away.
The image saved to PNG is 800 wide even though rendersettings is set to 2000 wide.

You have the resolution lock button off, so the render resolution is being taken from the size of the Viewport, not the resolution settings in the Rendersettings panel. Click the "Switch Rendersize To" button to switch back to have the resolution set from the Rendersettings panel.

And where is the "Switch Rendersize To" button???

If you mean that double ended arrow come windows paint icon, it's makes no difference if it's on or off, both return the original 800x1200 render size.

Maybe I just need to put up with it and not waste your time. sorry for this.

I haven't been able to reproduce your problem, but it's unclear the specific steps you are taking which lead to the issue. I started DAZStudio, added a cube, opened the "OctaneRender Main" panel, opened the "Viewport", clicked "Switch Render Size" so it was set to "Viewport size, render setup", then moved the Rendersettings sliders and the resolution changed in the Viewport window title.

Can could try deleting C:\Users\[username]\OctaneRender\Data\OctaneRender_settings.oczdb to reset your plugin back to defaults and see if that helps.
