I don't know if you tried this, but you can actually apply a saved .duf material containing octane info to the geoshell, and then get that into octane by importing embedded data. That makes using your technique very fast.

I was hoping to go the other way as well: Save the geoshell material, apply it to a geografted model and then import embedded data. Doesn't seem to work though.

thanks all for sharing this info I will try it. I decided to try 1.2 again and quickly ran into the geo-graft issue. It's a bad issue that I hope is actually resolved one day but for now I'll try the work arounds listed here.

EDIT: Tried and ran into issues. figured out how to work around them, ran into more issues. Going back to 1.1 lol. thanks anyway.
