that is of course correct, but that is not the way it was meant to work also this won't work if you have the same image in more places, and like to update them all. since octane provides no help with this, the plugin needs to search for all references of a map, replace them all to a dummy file*) and then back to the changed map - otherwise it won't change.linvanchene wrote:Work around:
It seems that it is better not to Ctrl Click but to just click on the symbol to open up the same version of the map in photoshop.
Make the changes and then save the texture manually with another name. Version v1002 etc.
Then load the updated version manually in the NGE or the Octane Material Tab.
The new map is updated immediately in the octane plugin viewport.
With that workflow the only thing you have to worry about is not accidentially saving your changes on the original version.
