Rendering animation saves beauty instead of Denoised beauty

I noticed that when saving as PNG sequence with the denoise ON the output files contain the Beauty pass instead of the Denoised Beauty when rendering an animation. So the resulting PNG files have NO denoising! How can I make Octane save the Denoised Beauty into the PNG instead?

Start a single frame render, select the Denoise Beauty pass, then render out the animation. Or save as EXR/Multi-layer discrete files. I will also add an option for PNG/JPG files to save as discrete files in the near future.

Thanks

Hey Paul,
many thx for the speedy reply - works!

I normally do not render to PNGs - I just tried to find a workflow that allows me to import direclty into Resolve, and Multilayer EXRs (that would contain the denoised layer) cannot be processed by Resolve (at least not without creating a Fusion script).

But with Single Layer EXRs it's the same as with PNGs.

BUT:

With EXRs I had a different issue: I cannot seem to get the Color Spaces working correctly. When importing - e.g. into Nuke - I just can't get it to look like in the render window in Modo.

With PNGs it works nicely.
But I will create a separate post for that...

Here's that post:
