It is possible that the setting has been applied and remembered at the Octane end (not the Modo plugin side) - as a result of an earlier version of the plugin which set OCIO is a different fashion. Try deleting the folders starting with a "{" in C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender.
