Duplicate image file within material?

Hi Paul,

Is it possible to duplicate a (RGB) image texture and convert it to a greyscale/floatimage B/W image (all in one material, obviously) for bump purposes within the Octane Modo plugin?

(I'm trying to create a quick bump map for a wood texture without uploading a differently named file within Modo and then dropping it into the Octane plugin.)

I was hoping to find a copy/paste method (in the Octane schematic) per the Rhino/Octane plugin?

Sorry for my confusion!

Hi - there is not (current) and copy/paste method for this (but maybe there could be). At the moment, select the Bump channel and Create Nodes->New Texture->Greyscale Image. Then plugin the existing diffuse image Filename and Projection in. (see image below)

However, this is the inefficient way of doing it. You are better off simply plugin the Octane RGB Image from diffuse into bump (then you save a greyscale texturemap slot on your graphics card).
