Hi Paul,

I would like to know if you could help me. I opened up modo and rendered using the latest stable build of the octane plugin and everything was fine. A few hours later I rendered again but the render viewport has the octane logo on a black background and the scale of the image in red in the corner but nothing is rendering, its just static.. Would you happen to know what I can do to fix this please. My graphics card is working fine as I just tested vrayrt gpu. Ive tried restarting etc but no luck.

Thanks Mate

Oh, I fixed it. I turned my second graphics card off by mistake. Nevermind.

Hi. I have 4 big memory crash while rendering with the latest build. And the computer freesed so a reboot was needed
Now i have reverted to 3.06.1 and havent yet got any problems.
Anyone having the same experience?

The scene contains many raplicators so the scene is heavy.

I have updated the TEST installer at the top of this thread with:

3.07.0.124
- Built with Octane 3.07 Test 6
- Add Kernel->Animation->Export Render Passes As Discrete Files to allow the saving of render layers as separate files when rending animations
- Fixed issue where ticking Camera Motion Blur would stop the Environment properties from being able to be animated

Thanks

Ok so I did a test with the latest build and after 3 min (boom) the computer crashed.

Then I reinstalled 3.06.1 and everything works....

Hi Fredrik. What do you mean by "crash"? If Modo crashing, or are you getting a blue-screen in Windows? If you start rendering, click pause, save as an ORBX and open that ORBX in Octane Standalone, does it crash?

Also - what are your system specs pls? In particular, are you rendering with multiple graphics cards, and if so, what are the card specs?

Hi paul. The computer stalls and I get a blue-screen. I have 2 gtx 1080ti and I use
both of them for rendering. 16gb ram.
I havent tried it in Octane standalone.

The strange thing that it all works fine with the older version.

It may just be that 3.07 is pushing your cards a little harder and tripping a hardware issue, such as inadequate power supply or overheating. Check your temperatures with CPUZ. Also try rendering with Octane Standalone. You could also try just rendering with each of your cards in isolation - since it may be just one of them that it triggering the problem.
