This is our first public release of Octane X Standalone for Big Sur and includes support for AMD Polaris, Vega, Navi as well as Intel GPUs, along with full OSL support.
At the moment we have only the Studio standalone version to share, but we will add Enterprise as soon as we can, as well as the render node.
Important notes:
- This build will only work on Big Sur and newer. Please also ensure you are running the very latest version of Big Sur, this is very important.
- Please note that this release is marked "internal" because it is not code signed or notarized. It should work just fine, but if you have any issues opening and running Octane, the workaround is to right click, then click open.
- This build should still be considered an experimental build. Please be careful not to use this for important production work.
- We are currently aware of two significant issues. One is a hang that triggers in a very specific situation. The other is that on the newest MacBook Pro 2020 (with the IceLake processor), Octane is currently not able to render. We welcome any other feedback, and thank you in advance for this.
