I ask you, I spent 5 hours and it didn’t work out for me, that's why there are no converters from other renders under the octane
I was able to repeat most of it but got stuck on standard functions and all the material is not the same anymore, it is different

I know a ton of work goes into making Octane and I really, really appreciate it but I do agree with you on this one. If we want a solid ecosystem I think it is really handy when you adhere to certain "industry standards". At least to an extent - supporting the mix curves and all that. Having the ability to at least somewhat properly convert materials from other renderers also comes really handy because then it's a lot easier to work with assets that you get online. Easier access to assets = more content.

So yeah, with all due respect, +1 :)

Plus, that bicycle image... Haha! :D

Hi, yes very nice tests and comparison, fully agree there has to be better ways than mixing and mixing and mixing materials all the time.
