The first 3 transmission models dont seem to change anything unless you have an albedo texture plugged in.
Something isnt right here, because when you add a black (0) albedo texture, it changes the appearance. Black and disconnected should look the same.
1. Load the scene and render the universal material
2. Switch transmission model between octane / beckmann / ggx
NOTE: Nothing changes
3. Disconnect the albedo texture and repeat step 2
NOTE: now the material is changing
UPDATE: If you disconnect the albedo again, adding coating or specular color prevents the transmission from working too
This is expected, because if albedo (diffuse) is not present, then the transmission layer and the specular layer essentially becomes a specular material on its own, and so it uses the same model as the one specified by "Reflection model".
It's only if there is diffuse layer separating the specular reflective layer on top of it and the specular transmission layer below it that we allow changing the 3 specular transmission models.
