If I have got a file which has copied objects, will octane render see these objects as instances?

thanks for an answer in advance

Thanks for the script

I am getting an error when I run it asking for a maBackwards.mll plugin path error...

Does it call a standard maya plugin?

Hi there,

I'm playing around with Blender trying to produce some input file to handle scatters for instances and was just wondering about the rotation, is it relative to the whole space or to the instanciated object origin ?

It´s the rotation of the instanced object origin.

@p3octane
Sorry the maBackwards.mll thing has nothing to do in the script.
It came with a too fast a copy/paste from another script I shared.
I've updated the script cleaned up, same link...

I agree to a video tutorial.
Unfortunately I have not much time they can spend, and I noticed a lot of confusion among users ..

Making a tutorial now :)
It will be on the placement and geometry group.
It will be split into two sections. With each section split into two parts [10 minutes each]
