I've now combined my previous two Octane addons (Octane Tools and Octane Material Converter) into one.
To avoid confusions, uninstall the other versions of my addons before installing this one.
MAIN TOOLS PANEL
Random Color Seed
Assigns random "Random Color Seed" values to all selected objects. You can the use this variable to add variance in materials.
Copy Object Color From Active
Copies the Object Layer Color from the active object to all selected objects.
MATERIAL TOOLS PANEL
Convert To Octane Materiale
Converts a Cycles material to an Octane material. In the options below you can select whether you want the Princpled BDSF converted to a Universal Material node or a Standard Surface Material node. You can also choose if the texture combination nodes should be converted to a setup that uses Composite Texture nodes or if the main combination nodes (Mix, Add, Multiply) should be converted to the equivalents in Octane.
After the conversion, the nodes that could not be converted are colored red. They stay in the node tree in case you want to trace their connections and purposes. The button "Remove Marked Nodes" removes them.
Create PBR Material
Imports images and combines them into a PBR node setup. You can chose whether to use a Universal Material or a Standard Surface material as the main node. You can also chose if you want to replace the actual material slot with it or if you want to add a new one.
Solo Texture Node
With this feature you can isolate a texture node and display it in Preview mode. It's similar to the one in Node Wrangler but you can trigger/untrigger the soloing.
Shortcuts: CTRL-ALT-LMB or CTRL-ALT-S
Create Image Node
This creates an Blender image node next to an Octane image node referring to the same image. In doing so you can display the image texture in Solid mode without always having to stay in Render Preview mode.
Shortcut: I
Dissolve Node
You can now dissolve nodes in the Shader editor by hitting "SHIFT X". If possible the attached nodes will be relinked. If not, the node is just deleted.
Shortcut: SHIFT X
CHANGED CAMERA IMAGER PANEL
For Final Render Use ...
If enabled in the addon preferences, there are two additional checkboxes in the original Octane panel now. If checked, the Render Mode settings will be used, no matter what is checked in the two original checkboxes below. This will save me hours down the line as I will never hit "Render" and then realize that i forgot to uncheck the "Use for all cameras (Imager)" checkbox. This could be simpler in the original addon, but here we are.
