In the "Octane Settings" section of any meshes "Object Data" panel, there is a new "Curvature Visibility" check box that is checked on by default.

Any documentation on exactly what that visibility flag is doing?

It tells whether this mesh is taken into account or not when evaluating curvature textures.

It works exactly as Dirt Visibility. Just turn it off if you don't want the current object to affect curvature node set to other objects.
