Animation rendering: every frame same content and too dark

Hi,

There are some problems with Octane in Blender:

First issue:
I am rendering an animation (a flag animation). But when I render the animation Octane is rendering always the first frame. All other frames do have the content from the first frame. The geometry is not updating from frame to frame.

Second Issue:
The render passes from Octane are way too dark. The Blender render image is fine. The preview is fine too.

1) How can I update the geometry from frame to frame?

2) How can I get the same color in the render passes?

3) And how can I get only one image per frame not 5?

And now Octane is not longer rendering the final image. But the preview is rendering fine. "Waiting for the image …"
I had never so many problems with Octane like now. And I am using Octane sind many years. ;-)

Update:
Single frames are rendering, but animations not.
I moved this issue to here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=74687

Number 3 is solved. The was some render passes selected in the Viewer Layer Properties.

For deforming object, you should change the Obejct Type to Reshapable in the Obejct Properties.

It is set to „Reshapable Proxy“. But it doesn't work.

2) When I make these settings:

  1. Set the Octane Camera Imager in the Camera Settings to Linear/Off.
  2. Set the Color Management in the Render Properties to sRGB.

… the colors in the render window looks nice. The saved render passes are too dark.

When I set it the other way around:

  1. Set the Octane Camera Imager in the Camera Settings to sRGB.
  2. Set the Color Management in the Render Properties to Linear/Off.

… Octane is not able to render ("Waiting for image…")

We have a double set of Camera Imager and Post Process setting. The first can be found in the Octane "vertical" menu in the main OpenGL view (the one that appears when you press n). That's normally dedicated to the preview in Perspective Mode. Then we have the same Camera Imager and Post Process dedicated setting in the Camera properties, which only affects Camera (and the saved files, of course).
If you set Override on for the settings in the main view, those will be used for both perspective and camera, so you'll be sure the final renders will look exactly like the IPR.

Also, if you're using Denoiser, you need to have the Denoiser Beauty Preview pass active.
