Hide/show object takes over another material

Good afternoon

Seems latest Blender has serious problems when hiding/unhiding objects in the viewport...
The selected object just takes over the previous selected object....

I also see sometimes no updates in viewport preview when disconnecting/connecting nodes....
or then just the message "waiting for image"...

Anyone else having this problem on XB3 21.3 on Linux?

This is absolutely annoying when coming back to OctaneBlender for playing around with
shaders/textures and never knowing if the preview is what it should be or just some leftovers.

This is how it looks correct after restarting Blender and reloading the file:
(The .blend file was taken from the Caustic post here and a little modified ;o)

Please disable RTX acceleration in device preferences. This will fix the issues with hiding unhiding objects.
Hiding and unhiding objects is somehow broken when using RTX.
CPU – i9 13900KF, 128GB RAM, GPU – RTX 4090

Yes, that happens in any version, not only on Linux. It may be a core related issue, we're looking into that.
