Hi r0ug3r,

it should be in your inbox now. You must get the latest build from graphicall.org (or build yourself from svn).

Cheers,
Yoyoz

It's in your inbox too now :-)

Note that I've no time to fully document the exporter yet and you may have to guess how it works.

For having materials exported properly you must activate the 'use direct writes to ocs' option. The texture mappings from the texture panel are ignored but the textures must be created there and assigned to some mapping so Blender don't delete them on exit. Real assignement is made from material panel. Sequence parameters and X/Y scaling are also taken in account. Bad textures will make the exporter fail. Final version will reverse to default blender texture panel.

Another (very) quick and (extremely) dirty video, featuring HDRi rotation (sorry I didn't realize it was so fast) and texture scaling.

this next-gen exporter is awesome. just a quick test render to explore the functionality.
mesh emmiters with noise modifiers driving the emmit values plus some image tex seqs.
yoyoz this a real great improvement! thank you yoyoz -king of the blender exporters:)

There're now Dave62, tungerz, mib2berlin and r0ug3r who are testing the plugin so I hope to quickly have enough feedback for stabilizing it.

As the workflow is quite different from previous versions regarding material handling, it will also require I write some documentation in order to avoid flooding on the forum. Note that the benefit for this new plugin is mainly for animations. As already discussed on the forum, there's no point setting up every material in blender while a key feature of Octane is to allow real-time editing of them, but I consider it's a must-have when dealing with animations...

I hope being able to release it this week and that the early testers will be able to assist users as I'll be in Croatia all next week with little time for monitoring the forum. Also note that the constraint of using a very recent svn build may discourage some people. I recommend they stick to 2.56a and the old plugin until Blender goes final.

Anyway, you can start imagine what you will do with it :-)

Cheers,
Yoyoz
