OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.27 - 3.1 beta Win [OBSOLETE]

OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.


The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

This is the quick-fix release.

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE

  • New Octane simple-value nodes (Float and Int) did not work properly when connected to pins, fixed.
  • Fixed material preview look.
  • Fixed "Cylindrical projection" spelling.:oops:


After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.

World > HDR image texture settings.

I can't rotate the HDR image in World > Octane environment
Because there is no X or Y rotation settings for the texture

It's not the plugin's issue (not the issue at all).
Just check out how it now works in last versions of standalone...;)

Ok, sorry about that. Have to check it out. :)

Ok. I have tried the standalone octane render 1.28 and there is the Texture Environment > RGB Image (texture) changing the Transform Value (UV transform) > T.X value rotates the HDR image.

In blender Texture nodes there is a Transform node input in Octane Image Tex
how can I change the Transform value if there is no Octane Rotation Transform node in Texture nodes?

Is there a manual somewhere where I can study how it works? :?:

I don't know if this is the right place to ask about this. Maybe someone could point in the right direction. Thanks.

Sorry i repeat:

As i told you i opened the Blender Octane Folder and started the blender.exe from there.
But still the normal blender will be loaded.
I DEINSTALLED my regular Blender 2.69 because i thought there could be a conflict.
But that didn´t solve the problem.
It looks like i have a normal blender.exe in my octane package :D ... how can that be (fixed)?

This means: I dont have any Octane Features in my Blender!

Have you tried to activate the plugin from Blender user preference > Addons > render:OctaneRender Engine?
