Hello!

Hi,

Just thought I would take the time to formally introduce myself to the SU community. I am aware that communication has not been as frequent as it should be. Captain has been hard at work progressing the 2.x plugin and readying the v3 release. In saying that, it is still necessary to provide frequent communication and to stay on top of user demand. For this reason, I will be focusing on assisting with this henceforth.

Currently, I recently initiated the beginning stages of investigating the use of Skatter with the Octane plugin. I will be looking to become more heavily involved with Sketchup from now on. I will be providing technical assistance, as well as gauging user demand for features (the latter being the reason for me looking into Skatter).

I look forward to meeting everyone in the SU community!

Cheers,
Azen

Azen,

Please look for all my posts with remarks and wishes - there are tons of them. But my one primary wish is give me (Us) guys the nodal approach and the standalone look Fuzzy started, Captain did few steps with. It shall have all functionality of the standalone, keeping in mind my remarks I posted in the topic on the perfect exporter.

PS. Welcome ;)

This means less focus on 3ds max development?

So there is a replacement for azen coming plus a new guy?
Otherwise you're removing resources...

Hi,

Just to clarify - I am working on 3ds Max as well as Sketchup. I had been handling a variety of other responsibilities in addition to helping out with 3ds Max part time. Now my time has been freed up to work exclusively on plugins. While I will be assisting on Sketchup and 3ds Max, I will also be freed up from the other responsibilities I have had up until now.

In other words, I will not be reducing my involvement with 3ds Max, and with less workload in other areas, I will be able to put in equal effort into Sketchup. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
Azen

Very well, I'll be taking a look through the forum archives to collate as much as possible. I is essential to ensure that the direction of development remains aligned with the highest priority needs of Sketchup users. I will post a follow-up as soon as possible in regards to this point.
