automation error

System:

W7 64bit, sketchup8 (not pro, free), tested octane versions 2.52b and 2.57b 64bit,
newest sketchup exporter.

Problem:

"Obj and mtl export only" works fine, but when exporting "frame" on "animation", octane starts but says:

"Automation error
mesh file for import "d:\pathhere\name.obj" not found"

and then after clicking "ok"

"Automation error" "Node "namehere" is no mesh node"

And still it writes name.ocs, name_anim.mtl, name_anim.obj and octane_anim files to folder,
and I can go and import the name_anim.obj into the octane as mesh node, it opens and
renders for the resolution and time set at the exporter, with a camera or view from exporter.

so what can I do or try next?

Thanks!

This is explained in the Help docs...
You must have previously exported/rendered a single-frame and thereby added the obj file and saved the ocs project, BEFORE making the animation set for the same ocs/obj.
Octane needs the base ocs with the obj loaded before it can render an animation sequence [even if it overwrites the obj as it does so]...
