which newer Octane Version works with R21.207? Tweet

Hi,

here in all latest Octane versions 2023 ... when using
with C4D R21.207 "Image Texture" Node seams to be broken.
No Renderings are possible because this "Image Texture"-Node stays black
even if I reload the bitmap or create a new texture node.

Any info on that?

It requires at least 21.115 and more. And It's looking like working well. Have you tested it enough before asking? Checking logs or trying simple scenes, etc?

Hi Ahmet,

I have latest 21.207 istalled on a second machine and intend to render jobs seperatly on this PC.

So I transfered my C4D scene (with all textures - saved with assets included) to that machine
and with C4D R21.207 and Octane Version 2023.1.2 all textures were broken.
So I investigated in the materials and saw, that all bitmaps were loaded, but image texture node was black.
When I insert a new image-texture node and reload that bitmap, it still stays black.
Even on a fresh new scene image texture nodes are black after loading a bitmap.

I then installed one of the older Octane 2022 version and all was fine!

I'm asking about that, because I intend to buy a second subscription for 2 month or so for rendering on my second machine
and want to use the same octane version which I made my scenes on my main PC.

o.k. its working now!

My fault:
did not use this PC for a longer time and forgot to check/update Nvidia drivers.
With newest drivers its working now.

For some reasons the old nvidia drivers worked with Octane 2022, but not with 2023.
