Dear Octaners,
i just discovered a tiny issue with the UV AOV in Octane, which i could narrow down to the usage of a nearby Light.
My Scene is basically an animated Laptop/Notebook, i use the UV-Pass to be able to replace the Screen Content in Post.
Here are the issues:
- After rendering the AOVs and assembling them, i noticed this artifact in some frames:
These appear from some frames only and since they also appeared in the Live Viewer, i did some digging on where this might be coming from. I figured out that it appears only when a nearby area-light is active - this is what it looks like in C4D:
As soon as i disable the light, the artifacts go away, even though the area light is not intersecting with the geometry in any way. It doesn't matter where in the hierarchy the light is placed.
I need this light in my render for the Light AOVs and for Relighting - so just disabling it is not really an option. But maybe there is something else that i am missing?
Here are also my AOV settings for the info passes:
Any help is much appreciated!
