Phase orientation to the sun

Hello,
correct me if I'm wrong, but the phase orientation setting in the VDB volume medium doesn't factor in the orientation of the sun, is that normal?

In the standalone version, this option is available.
Also, how can I know which value to set in the phase so that it aligns with our sun?

Thanks you very much !

Hi,
nope sorry, the issue is not clear.

The Schlick Phase Function is used to change the way the light is scattered inside the medium.

Please share a simple example scene with screenshots that shows your issue, thanks.

ciao,

Hi, the whole rendering & shading calculation is done in a physically manner all according to the lighting. It takes any light source into consideration, granted the light source is intense enough, as shown on this page.
