octane 2021 version of dirt cannot take effect on bump Tweet

Friends, when I am in the 2020.2.3-r3 version, I can use dirt to link bump directly, but it seems to be invalid in the new version。。

The version I am currentlyusing is 2021.1.2

There is some discussion about this over on the 2022 plugin thread. I use Dirt to drive Bump regularly, but I think I always have it running through a few other nodes along the way. I wouldn't be surprised if Bump doesn't like the direct output of the Dirt node. I shared a simple sample here:

I've seen replies, dirt and tex multiply and then connecting to bump is useful, but what I asked is that dirt connecting to bump is completely useless when there is a map as dirt map
