I don't think it is clear exactly what it is you are trying to do. Can you post a simple example, such as the one I offered previously?

If I use a texture map as a dirt map, the edges will look more natural. If I multiply dirt with texture using your method, the edges will appear mechanical and very unattractive.

The Video where we can see that its possible TO CONNECT? I´m pretty shure the guys want mask a noise with dirt to get worn edges?!

You can use any blend mode that you like. Multiply may be too aggressive for the look you want. I usually put a Gradient or two in there for finer control of the drop off, also. Try Subtract for instance:

The origin of this thread was about Dirt not working with Bump, but it does with a little finesse. My response was that Bump doesn't like the raw data type output by Dirt, but once it is transformed by another node, it works fine. Here is the same material used only in the Bump channel.
