Hi aoktar an miroof,
I want to give a short feedback of bugs I had with 0.6.7c so far.
Had a scene with lots of cloner objects too yesterday and several crashes while working with it and rendering with preview renderer and also with the picture manager. Then I disabled the "renderinstances" check of the cloner object and all crashs were gone. Results on the viewport are the same, but as I understand it uses more VRAM, when renderinstances is of, right?
So there must be some issues with instancing and GPU load.
Also got a CUDA error, I think it was 702, something with launch timeout... have to look at my working pc later for checking.
Also I had a problem with saving final render data, maybe you mentioned it somehow, but I wasn`t aware of yesterday. Rendered 250 frames over night with the preview renderer without problem, but when I had a look in the directory it has been empty! No frames have been saved! Why? Because I had an "ä" in the directory and the imagefile name (umlauts). No warning or error messages, even the log says the files are saved, but they have not been saved.
Renamed the directory and the filename and rendered the same again... and everything was fine.
Next thing I discovered is a strange bug with octane area lights (generated from the plugin menu).
When I have several lights in a scene in top of each other and change their order in the project tree, suddenly one light tag is controlling another light below or above the one I am editing. I discovered it while changing the opacity of the light and surprisingly another light source was showing up then the one I am currently edited.
I will try to make a scenefile with all these problems included, but have little time for now.
Will try 0.6.8 later on...
thanx so far.
