Hey guys,

Firstly, thanks Marcus- I've been playing with the new exporter and it is awesome!

I've come across an issue-
The Focal Depth is not coming through correctly when using a Focus Object (during animation)
The initial value seems to stick throughout the entire animation, rather than updating for each frame as expected.

If this a bug? can anyone suggest a workaround for the time being?
See attached if my explanation isn't very good.

First frame (correct focus in Octane)

Red square should remain in focus

That definitely looks wrong. I will have a look at it. Did you use a different render target than the preview render target?

Cheers,
Marcus

The problem with the camera is that the focus distance field of the camera object doesn't get updated, if the scene is not displayed in the editor (i.e. redrawn). You can check this by hiding the editor view. I will have a look how I can work around the problem.

Cheers,
Marcus

Hello,

I installed the current version for Cinema4D, but when you start Cinema 4d r13 does not load the plug-ins.
Works better on versions r13 and r14?
There are other plug-ins that can export geometry, materials vs octane? properly?

Thank you very much !

The plugin does work otherwise you would see a lot more complaints here ;) Which OS are you using and which archive did you download and unpack and where did you install the plugin?

Marcus

Hey i just purchased Octane and made a lil c4d scene icluding:

-1 Frontal Camera

-1 Polygon object (Text)

-and 1 black material.

Im using R12, but when i use the octane export plugin and hit render it opens up the Octane Render but nothing is happening in my viewport, its just plain grey. :?

Below it says:
"0 Tris, GeForce GTX 660M (failed), ..."

Please help ASAP! :)
