Hi Rico,
I have no problems reloading the textures.
Check the name of the texture, Octane don't like spaces and strange characters in file name, also for image files ;)

The problem is still there, but maybe it's wanted behaviour - I'm still waiting for confirmation from the Octane devs:

The materials in the mesh node are always loaded from the MTL file. Only if you apply material macros or material nodes they take precedence over the materials from the MTL file, when you select "Render". Unfortunately (due to a bug) you get an error message if not all input ports of the mesh node are linked with a material node or macro. See:

Marcus

hi there.
i made some further tests , and it is a fact , if i export a scene with material in to octane ,tweak the materials
safe it. and go back to c4d , ad something and export the same scene again all the adjustments i have done
in octane the first time are lost.
I hope that's going to be solved soon.
Rico
btw . no spaces in my material names

Yes, that is partially correct. As I said: If you just modify the materials in the mesh node, they will get overwritten by the materials from the MTL file during the next export. Only, if you modify the materials by creating new material nodes/macros in the node editor and connecting them with the mesh node, the materials are kept during the next export. I hope we will get back to the old behaviour of beta 1.022, but there is nothing I can do here.

Cheers,
Marcus
