I have one question / request: could we get a slider to animate Stereo Distance in some future version?

Sure, when you can say me the hidden commandline parameter ;)

Ah, so that's how it is. Rendering eyes separately it is then ;]

Uhm, does anyone else experience problems getting Soft2Octane to run on 2012 service pack? We just installed it on a new workstation, and no matter what we do. Octane wont show up in the file export list, and if we try to load a scene with Soft2Octane already in there, it says Soft2Octane is missing? This was very confusing.

The problem can be, that the plugin saves the filepath from the Octane.exe to the .ini-file only, when you open or close the PPG.
If you change some parameters after changing the Octane.exe and you don´t reload the PPG, means close or open, it can be,that the old path is used.
Maybe you can try to to change the path to the OCtane.exe, close the PPG, open it again and try to render...

When I go into View->Toolbars->Octane and the click the Octane icon I get this message:

' ERROR : 2000 - Argument 0 (PresetObj) is invalid
' ERROR : 2027-PROP-SIAddProp - Invalid preset argument, cannot load Soft2Octane
SIAddProp "Soft2Octane", "Scene_Root", siDefaultPropagation, "Soft2Octane"
' ERROR : Invalid procedure call or argument: 'SIAddProp' - [line 18]
' ERROR : (Microsoft VBScript runtime error)
' ERROR : [16] (null)

' ERROR : [19] inspect
' ERROR : [20] end function
' ERROR : Invalid procedure call or argument: 'SIAddProp'
InspectPreferences

If I go into the plug-in manager, the working version looks like this:

Soft2Octane
Plug-ins
FilebrowserPlugin
Filebrowser (Custom Command)
Soft2Octane
Soft2Octane (Property)
&Soft2Octane (Menu)
Soft2Octane (Menu)
SPDLs
Toolbars
Octane.xsitb

The non working version looks like this:
Soft2Octane
Plug-ins
FilebrowserPlugin
Filebrowser (Custom Command)
*Error* (Red icon) Soft2Octane ->When I check with edit it says Library not found:
C:\Users\........\nt-x86-64\Octane_x64.dll (The filepath is correct though?)
SPDLs
Toolbars
Octane.xsitb

Does it give you a better clue to understand whats wrong?

Here the complete filepath for x64 is:
C:\Users\xxx\Autodesk\Softimage_2012_Subscription_Advantage_Pack\Addons\Soft2Octane\Application\Plugins\bin\nt-x86-64\Octane_x64.dll

Maybe the xxx username has spaces?

Nope, nothing strange about the filepath..

C:\Users\Dick\Autodesk\Softimage_2012_Subscription_Advantage_Pack\Addons\Soft2Octane\Application\Plugins\bin\nt-x86-64

When I compare to my computer, everything looks the same, and we both run Win7 etc etc.. You can't think of anything else that should be installed like Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 etc etc?!? I thought it had something to do with the UAC or something, but can't find anything odd.. Pretty clueless here :(

I haven´t changed anything in the UAC on my computer.
Have installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Runtime - 10.0.40219,
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributeable - 10.0.30319,
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 x86 Runtime - 10.0.40219,
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributeable - 10.0.30319
and some 2005 and 2008 Redistributables.

Hm, maybe because i had switched from Visual C++ 2008 to 2010 to compile the plugin.
But good to know...

I have uninstalled 2.52B to install 2.52C

But When I Istall this new version, nothing happens...

I can´t find exporter in softimage 2012.

I never had some kind of trouble with this plugin installation..

Am I doing something wrong?!
